This line graph is about the money spent on books in millions of US dollars for different countries. Specifically, this graph shows us information about Germany, France, Italy and Austria, in the period between the years 1995 and 2005. In this text will be shown the changes of every country in the graph through the years, and then will be do a general conclusion of all countries in the graph.
First, we can see that Germany had the biggest amount of money spent on books in 1995. The number reached 80 million US dollars, and the next closest country (France) just spent 55 million US dollars on books. We can see that between 1995 and 1999 Germany had a slightly increase, reaching 90 US million dollars, and, after a little decline between 1999 and 2003 Germany, reach the 95 US million dollars in 2005, staying in the first place of money expenditure on books. If we see France, we can see that this country had a continue increasing through the years, starting in 1995 spending 55 US million dollars on books, and finishing in 2005 spending 75 US million dollars on books. With respect to Italy, it´s not different of the other countries: between 1995 and 1997 had a little increasing, reaching 55 US million dollars. After, between 1997 and 1999 had a go down slightly, reaching 50 US million dollars. And then, this country had a gradually climb until 1995 where reach 65 US million dollars. Now, the country that had the most important rise in spent of books was Austria. In 1995 the expense in this country reach 30 million dollars, the least expense of this countries, and between 1995 and 1999, after a little increasing, and after 1999 and 2001 where the spent remain steady, had a dramatically rise, reaching 75 million dollars in 2005.
How we see previously, although all this countries had different changes through the decade, all this countries had an increasing of money spent on books that is a good sign. In this data, the most prominent countries are Germany, that is the country that have the most money spent on books (90 US million dollars), and Austria, that in just one decade, have an incredible increasing, since 30 US million dollars in 1995 until 75 US million dollars in 2005, that is to say, 45 US million dollars in a decade. This graph shows the importance of books in these counties and how far are the countries of Latin America in the importance that have the books.
